Dr. Wang Jiulin, Registered Acupuncturist

Dr. Wang Jiulin graduated from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (www.njucm.edu.cn) with a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine in 1985 and a Master of Medicine in 1990. He has taught Chinese medicine and acupuncture at many universities in China, the United States, and Canada. From 1985 to 1997, he worked as a lecturer at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. In addition, Dr. Wang has practiced Chinese medicine and acupuncture at the affiliated hospitals, Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nanjing Brain Hospital. He joined the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, USA (1998-2000) and the Vancouver International College of Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, Canada (2001). He has conducted postdoctoral research at Louisiana State University, USA (1997-1998) and Oregon Health and Science University, USA (2000-2001).

Dr. Wang Jiulin obtained a faculty position in the Department of Acupuncture at MacEwan University, Canada in 2001 and was promoted to the head of the department and associate professor in 2010.
He is also a founding member of the Bethune Oriental Medical Centre, the largest acupuncture clinic in Alberta, and provides TCM/acupuncture treatment services to the public as a registered TCM acupuncturist.
He has been on the editorial board of three professional journals for the past 6 years. Dr. Wang Jiulin is often invited to give professional reports and public speeches around the world.
Jiulin has been an active member of the acupuncture and TCM profession in Alberta since 2001. He was the Secretary and Executive Member of the Alberta Acupuncture and TCM Association. He has been a member of the interim board of the Alberta College and Acupuncturists Association (CAAA) since 2007. In 2010, 2012, and 2014, he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors, Secretary and Treasurer of the Alberta College and Acupuncturists Association (CAAA) to help the Alberta government regulate the acupuncture industry. Currently, Dr. Wang is a member of the Professional Conduct and Competence Committee of the Alberta College and Acupuncturists Association (CAAA) and Vice-President of the Canadian Alliance of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (AACMC).
